Michael Cutler is the Managing Partner of Cutler Consulting Partners — a strategic advisory and management support firm founded in 2001 and based in the Washington, DC area. Mr. Cutler has over 20 years of professional experience and has directed numerous projects for a range of business and non-profit clients. He primarily focuses on assisting clients in the areas of:

– Customer experience design and management
– Strategic and operational planning
– New venture/product strategy development
– Market research and competitive analysis
– Business case modeling and financial analysis

Mr. Cutler is an entrepreneurial project leader with significant experience in creatively analyzing, structuring, and solving complex problems and managing projects to timely completion. He is a goal-oriented executive who can readily establish rapport and collaborate with cross-functional team members, successfully manage multiple priorities, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. He is also an effective verbal and written communicator with aptitude for distilling complex research and analysis into concise conclusions/recommendations and effectively presenting results to both senior and operational managers. Prior to forming Cutler Consulting Partners, Mr. Cutler was an executive with leading management consulting firms Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and A.T. Kearney. In addition, he has over 13 years of industry experience with major communications service providers including AirTouch Communications, Pacific Telesis Group and Sprint, as well as senior executive experience with two early stage start-ups.

REPRESENTATIVE CONSULTING EXPERIENCES

* Customer Experience Design and Management
Led the design and execution of a strategic customer experience management program for an international wireless provider. Analyzed internal and external Voice of the Customer data and facilitated internal workshops to prioritize top issues and design desired end-state experiences. Identified transformation imperatives and specified process improvement and other change requirements needed to deliver the desired customer experience.
* Customer Requirements Definition
Guided client core team in analyzing the key wants and needs relating to the early life experience of wireless customers in different segments. Developed a detailed set of capability requirements required to improve the early life experiences. Requirements were validated by cross-functional teams and integrated into an overall roadmap for change.
* Strategic Planning and Performance Management
Planned workshops and facilitated Georgetown University team meetings on ways to improve organizational effectiveness using a Balanced Scorecard approach. Led efforts to prioritize strategic objectives, define key initiatives and develop detailed action plans that included key performance measures/milestones. Developed presentation illustrating Strategy Map results that the CAO presented to the University’s Board of Directors
* Market/Product Strategy Development
Led senior client team in an effort to define a market/product expansion strategy for satellite-based corporate network services in North America. Guided efforts to develop and select strategic options based market segmentation and sizing data, understanding of customer needs, target applications analysis, and wholesale/retail channel preferences.
